Poison isn’t always the answer

A customer was informed by a third party that they had a ‘rat nest’ in their drain. Upon inspection there was indeed evidence of rat activity. There were rat droppings and burrowing into the soil, above the pipe.


We installed a rat flap and blocked the burrowed hole. On this occasion, it was not necessary to leave poison, as a rat flap will prevent any rats from obtaining access into the domestic sewerage system via the sewerage outlet.
